White Swan has everything you'd want in a local pub including very nice food and well stocked bar and taps. The service is friendly and the food arrives in good time. On two recent visits we ordered the steak and ale pie, and the chicken leek pie. Dinner was served with potatoes and fresh veg and both were a tiny bit too salty! Would recommend allowing flavor of the nice gravy to stand on its own. Generous serving of French fries known here as chips better than the mashed potatoes. Soup of the day parsnip apple was very good. Pizza has thin crust and generous toppings. Ovingham White Swan a best kept secret, worth stopping in.

Classic English pub food and pub culture. The food is good but not great. I had a steak, ale and mushroom pie that had the potential to be a five out of five if it didn't lack that much salt. My company had rump stake that was served over cooked and chewy. The staff was slightly unattentive even though that the pub was far from full. But cosy atmosphere and clean!
